About

Prior to becoming a professional designer, Brian tried out a lot of different possible career paths. Paper Boy, Construction management, Radio DJ, underground miner, oilfield roughneck, and even some businesses of his own.

He traveled the world as a navigator and a master helmsman for the United States Navy, traveled the country as a long-haul truck driver, and eventually found his calling after graduating from college with an AA Degree in Computer Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Digital Design and Web Design.

“When I was attending Heald College in Portland, Oregon working on my AA degree, I took a class in web design. After the first day, I realized that this was my future so as soon as I graduated I enrolled for my BFA degree in digital design. That evolved into graphic design, web design, photography, and eventually my own business.”

After graduating from college, Brian joined his family here in Pahrump in January 2004. He’s been here ever since.

“I worked as a truck driver for about a year or so here in Pahrump while I built up a client base and had enough work to go full time as a graphic designer, and web designer.

This community has been good to me. Over the years I have built up wonderful relationships with the local business community, and so many great people.”

“In early 2013 I got a call from Ron Frazier who at that time was the owner of Frazier’s Furniture. He asked me if I could help him out with producing Pahrump Life Magazine. I was thrilled at the opportunity and immediately signed on as Creative Director. I then brought onto the team Denise Fortin as a sub-contractor to handle the page layout duties.

I’m beginning my 10th year with Pahrump Life and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve met so many interesting people. I photograph most of the covers and handle the graphic design for all the ads. I also coordinate with our team on every aspect of the magazine.

My time here has been great. I have no plans of ever leaving. I’m looking forward to many more years working in the local economy and helping our community any way I can.”

Brian is proud to have been unanimously appointed by the Nye County Board of Commissioners to serve as the Vice-Chair on the Pahrump Library Board of Trustees since June of 2021.

He is also the founder of the Founding Defenders and the author of the “Nye County Bill of Rights Sanctuary” that was passed unanimously by the Nye County Board of Commissioners.

Brian is a firearms enthusiast, a proud veteran, and a self-proclaimed “Car guy” having owned a number of classic cars and Corvettes over the years.

He also served for four years on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Firearms Coalition, and continues to support pro Second Amendment causes.
